Our Sumter sheeting plant is located in the East Midlands area of South Carolina. The plant employs more than 100 people and provides the sheeting operation for our Eastover, South Carolina, mill, converting large paper rolls into sheets cut to size for our customers.
Investing in Sumter
In 2025, the company announced plans to invest approximately $145 million in projects at our South Carolina facilities. Roughly $45 million of that investment is for a new sheeter at the Sumter plant. The state-of-the-art cutsize sheeter converts large rolls of paper from the Eastover mill into sheets.
The investment also includes a project at the Eastover mill to speed up one of its paper machines, allowing it produce significantly more paper annually and a new 300,000-square-foot warehouse at the Sumter plant.

Sheeter Operator Team Member
Sheeter operators are responsible for overseeing paper sheeting operations, converting large paper rolls into finished customer-sized sheets while ensuring product quality, operational efficiency, safety compliance and adherence to customer specifications.
