Our Sumter sheeting plant is located in the East Midlands area of South Carolina. The plant employs more than 100 people and provides the sheeting operation for our Eastover, South Carolina, mill, converting large paper rolls into sheets cut to size for our customers.
Investing in Sumter
In 2025, the company announced plans to invest approximately $145 million in projects at our South Carolina facilities. Roughly $45 million of that investment is for a new sheeter at the Sumter plant. The state-of-the-art cutsize sheeter, which converts large rolls of paper from the Eastover mill into sheets, is scheduled to come online in late 2026.
The investment also includes a project at the Eastover mill to speed up one of its paper machines, allowing it produce significantly more paper annually and a new 300,000-square-foot warehouse at the Sumter plant.
